Bizzi Dixon

Bizzi Dixon is a British singer best known for appearing in the 2014 series of ITV’s inspirational reality talent show The Voice, where he was selected on Sir Tom Jones’ team and reached the semi-finals.

The Leicester-born vocalist started singing at a very young age. He learnt the fundamental parts of Gospel and R&B vocals and how to play key instruments such as drums, keyboards, guitar and piano. After performing in a number of bands, Bizzi was asked to join the UK R&B group Rhythm & Bass as one of the lead vocalists and songwriter. The group achieved some success in the 1990s, which included a tour of the United States.

Once back in the UK, Bizzi secured a recording contract with Parlophone (EMI) and released ‘Bizzi’s Party’ in 1997, a song that proved very successful on the underground garage circuit and reached a national chart position.

In 2014 Bizzi participated in Series 3 of The Voice UK, and his audition was broadcast on ITV on 15 February 2014, with almost 9 million people seeing his cover of Kings of Leon’s ‘Use Somebody’ win the approval of Sir Tom Jones and Kylie Minogue. Opting to join the Welsh crooner’s team, Bizzi went from strength to strength, showcasing his versatility by singing The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude’ and winning his sing-off against Kenny Thompson in the knockout stages.

Bizzi Dixon went all the way to the semi-finals of the show as nearly 50,000 applicants were whittled down to single figures, and despite exiting the programme, he had made his mark on the British public.

Since The Voice, Bizzi has been in high demand and to date, has performed in front of thousands of people including Sir Bobby Charlton, Manchester United’s players and staff and Tinie Tempah, and has had the privilege of singing with Brandy, Joe, Teddy Riley and Keith Sweat. Bizzi has performed at the following venues: Ministry Of Sound, The Ritz, The Savoy, Club Privee Estonia, The Voice UK, Old Trafford, Brixton Fridge and Brixton Academy to name a few, plus tours in the UK, Europe and the USA.
