This year 51st State is going cashless.  We have made this decision after careful consideration, as we believe it will keep our fans and staff as safe as possible during this current climate.  In addition, this will improve the speed of service, reduce queues and enable the event to run as smoothly as possible.

How It works

Topping up

Your wristband will act as your wallet. You’ll load up your wristband with funds, and pay for everything by tapping your wristband. You’ll spend less time in queues, less time worrying about cash, less time concerned with fraud and theft, and most importantly, more time enjoying the event!

You will receive your wristband when you arrive at the event.

To load funds onto your wristband, visit and navigate to Cashless before the festival. You will be sent a QR code as your voucher. When you get to the festival you will be guided to the topup station right after the search tent, the credit you purchased online will be scanned and transferred to your wristband at the top up point at the gate.

To load funds onto your wristband, visit one of the top-up points onsite.

Simply tap your wristband at any of the outlets at the venue to pay for your order and the amount due will be deducted.

No, cashless will be the only payment method for this event.

You can request a balance check when you make a transaction or at a top-up point.

If your wristband is lost or stolen, you can get a replacement. However, please keep in mind that your wristband is similar to cash. This means we can issue a new wristband, but your credit will be lost.

No, your credit is not transferable.

You can claim back any unused funds online up to the value of £100 per wristband. To cash out, visit, sign in or register for an account, and select ‘Cash Out’. If you didn’t register your wristband before the festival, you will be asked to link your wristband and provide card details to complete the cashout. You can link a maximum of 5 wristbands to the same account. Cashout will open at 10am on Monday 9th August and close 10pm Thursday 13th August 2021.

The wristband is only valid during the event.

The wristband will still be accepted should you have funds on it. However, you are welcome to collect another wristband free of charge at the entrance to the festival. Your wristband is water-resistant.

We strongly advise topping up your wristband in advance to avoid queuing on site

An activation fee of £1.75 will be charged on 1st top up per wristband. Refund applications for any remaining credit opens 9 Aug - 10pm 13 Aug. All refund applications are subject to a 50p charge to cover banking admin costs. Unredeemed credit outside these times is non-refundable.

If you have further questions, ask any of the cashless staff at the festival. If you require further information, send an email to
